Question:
Is it permissible for the woman to travel by train along with her sister and her sister’s husband while she is observing the islamic veil?
Answer:
Sister’s husband is not her mahram and this travel is not permissible except in case of necessity: Necessity makes the prohibited things permissible, or in case of travelling for Hijrah or (treating) sickness and her mahram is not found. So, in such cases, in the company of her sister and her sister’s husband, there is no issue in case of necessity. Necessity is estimated according to it’s just estimate. Not just any travel is considered necessity.
