▪️Sitting with Hizbees (partisans) under the pretext of advice▪️

Our Shaykh, Muhammad Ibn Hizaam- may Allaah be pleased with him – was asked the following question

? Question:

A Salafi brother is found to accompany the Hizbees; he eats and works with them. [When asked] he says, “I am advising them”. So what is the ruling of this?

?Answer :

This is wrong. If it takes place once or twice, then yes it may be an acceptable excuse, but if he is constantly with them, working and eating with them, then this is clearly wrong. He might become like them, if he wasn’t already one of them.

“المرء على دين خليله فلينظر أحدكم من يخالل”

“A man is on the religion of his friend, so let one of you look to whom he befriends.”

[Narrated by Abu Dawood, on the authority of Abu Hurayrah -may Allaah be pleased with him-]

And if he doesn’t become like them, then his heart will gradually grow sick due to their company.
