▪If an innovator dies in prayer, should his case be overlooked▪
Our Shaykh, Muhammad Ibn Hizaam- may Allaah preserve him – was asked the following question:
There are some innovators who happen to pass away in prayer, how should they be perceived?
They are perceived in line with their innovation; if their innovation reached the level of Kufr (disbelief) and the proof had been established upon them, and the conditions of Takfeer were met and the barriers were lifted, then they would have died in a state of Kufr.
And if their innovation did not reach the level of Kufr, i.e. their innovation was one of misguidance below Kufr, then they would have died in a state of misguidance whereby their end result is with Allaah; if He wills He will forgive them and if He wills He will punish them.
Abu Ibraaheem Naassir ibn Raashid Al-Maamry
