An advise to hasten to seek Knowledge

Our Shaykh, the ‘Allaamah, the Sincere Adviser, Abu ‘Abdirrahman Yahya bin ‘Ali Al-Hajoori – may Allaah preserve him – on the 28th, Safar, 1441H, said:

“Strive strive, in benefiting.
Try Oh student of knowledge to benefit early, how will you benefit?

?By memorizing the Quraan and becoming proficient in it.
?Memorizing the Sunnah and becoming proficient in it.
?Taking lessons which you require and becoming proficient in it.

Hasten, I am to you an adviser.

Don’t delay and say there is ease in the affair, don’t stray behind.

?Make use of the months, for by Allah it’s a treasure.
It’s a chance that you will regret, the years are treasures.
A year seeking continues knowledge is by Allah a great great treasure.
So hasten to benefiting.

This doesn’t mean that you jump from here to there and flop and flail and rush the affair of seeking knowledge, No, rather you pay attention, you pay attention until you benefit early and you benefit by way of it and make use of this.

?Your life-span is a chance, time in general is a chance, the different Daarul Hadeeth’s are chances.

?Your able to study in whatever school in whatever college, but these Daarul Hadeeth’s are chances which will come and go and not come back.
Places where a person can obtain sciences in grammar, pure creed without difficulty and hardship, I say:

Hasten, may Allah reward you with good.”
