Is the aqeeqah to be done (for the baby who died of miscarriage) if a soul has been blown into it?

Question:

Is the aqeeqah to be done (for the baby who died of miscarriage) if a soul has been blown into it?

Answer:

Yes, aqeeqah is made for them, if one wishes to do so, as long as the soul has been breathed in to them, because it has become a born child even if they pass away. And the majority of the scholars are of the opinion that aqeeqah is done for both coming out alive and passing away. Every (born) child is pledged to its aqeeqah, and if one performed an aqeeqah for a miscarriage, there is no problem in this.
