Question:
What’s the ruling on writing verses from the Qur’aan on saffron, then to dissolve it in water, to sprinkling it on a person afflicted with magic, for treatment purposes?
Answer:
This is an innovation; it wasn’t performed by the Prophet ﷺ, nor have we -as far as we know- seen any evidence pointing to that the companions used to do this.
