Whoever Diverts away from the Madhab of the Sahabah and Tabi’in (salaf)

Benefits regarding sticking to the way of salaf

Allāh said,

(وَالَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُم بِإِحْسَانٍ رَّضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْه)

“And also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him.”

The way of the Salaf is safer, more knowledgeable and wiser.

Benefit: From the distortions of the Sufi’s to the legislated texts and its meanings, is (like) their statement concerning the hadith: “Do not leave a raised grave except that you level it”, it’s correct meaning is leveling the raised grave to the ground, but they say leveling means rebuilding and beautifying, and this is a call to innovation and shirk.

Benefit: Imām Shāfi’ē may Allah have mercy on him said: “Everything that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ ruled with, is what he understood from the Qurān.

Benefit: The best way to interpreting the Noble Qurān: Is by the Qurān and the Sunnah, and the statements of the Sahābah and the Tābi’īn like Mujāhid and his likes, and by the Arabic language.

Benefit: Interpretation using merely opinion is blameworthy, and what’s intended with opinion is: pure opinion which doesn’t stem from any ijtihād, and it is from the major sins because this is speaking about Allāh with no knowledge.

Benefit: It is established from Abū Bakr As-Siddīq may Allāh be pleased with him that he said: “Which earth will contain me and which sky will cover me if I say about the book of Allāh that which I do not know.”

[Reported by Ibn Jarir and Ibn Abdil-Barr in Jami Bayyān Al-Ilm wa Fadhlihi]

Benefit: Shaikh ul-Islām mentioned many samples about the war’ of the Salaf in tafsir ul-Qurān, he mentioned about Abū Bakr and ‘Umar and Ibn Abbās may Allāh be pleased with them and Sa’īd bin Al-Musayyib and their likes which points towards their severe war’ in this topic.

Benefit: Hadith Abī Hurairah may Allāh be pleased with him is Marfū ‘(to the Prophet): “Whoever is asked about a knowledge and he conceals it, will be bridled on the day of judgment with a bridle of fire.”

[Reported by Abū Dāwūd and Tirmidhī and Ibn Mājah and Ahmed and other than them and it is authentic]

Benefit: Ibn Abbās, may Allāh be pleased with them, said: “Tafsir is on four types:

1 – The angle which is known by the Arabs, by way of their language.
2 – And tafsīr which no-one is excused of not knowing it.
3 – And tafsīr which is known to the scholars.
4 – And tafsīr that none knows except Allāh.”

Attention: From the tafsīr of the Shi’ah is their statement concerning the statement of Allāh:

(وَلِكُلِّ قَوْمٍ هَادٍ)

“and to every people there is a guide.”

That it is Alī.

Attention: And from their tafsir at the statement:

(وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ)

“And the keen ear (person) may (hear and) understand it.”

They said your ears O Alī and the hadith in this are feeble and weak.

And Shaikh ul-Islām mentioned types of strange tafsīrs of the Rāfidhah which they have no reference for.
