Our Shaykh, Muhammad ibn Hizaam -may Allaah preserve him- was asked the following question:

📩 Question:

The questioner says: When is it permissible to make Du’a against another Muslim?

📝 Answer:

It’s best to remain patient, but if he wronged you and you make Du’a against him, it’s permissible for you to do so, based on the Hadeeth:
((وَاتَّقِ دَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ، فَإِنَّهَا لَيْسَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللهِ حِجَابٌ))
‘Beware of the supplication of the one who has been wronged as there is no screen between it and Allah.’
[Narrated by Ibn Abbas, reported by Bukhaari and Muslim]
