Instigating is from the subtle means of attacking the Da’wah of Salafiyyah

By our Shaykh, the ‘Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abū ‘Abdirrahmān Yahya bin ‘Alī Al-Hajūri – may Allāh preserve him

“This way is from the subtle means of attacking the Da’wah of Salafiyyah”, so he said in his valuable article: Adhrār al-Hizbiyyah ‘Ala al-Ummah al-Islāmiyyah (pg 28-29): “And from those subtle means of attacking the Da’wah of Salafiyyah…is instigating.”

Which the opposers of the Da’wah of Salafiyyah carry out amongst the carriers of the Da’wah of Salafiyyah, scholars and callers, so they instigate in their midsts! And this is nothing new, but verily it is old from the time of Imām Al-Bukhāri and his shaykh Muhammad bin Yahya Adh-Dhuhlī, and from the time of Imām Mālik and Ibn Ishāq, and from the time of Abbās bin Abdil-‘Athīm and Abdurrazāq and previous Imāms, and this is the striving of Shaytān, Imām Muslim reported in his Sahih from the hadith of Jābir bin Abdillāh that the Prophet ﷺ said:

إن الشيطان أَيِسَ أن يعبده المصلون في جزيرة العرب ولكن بالتحريش

“Verily the Shaytān has despaired of being worshipped in the Arabian peninsula, but (he is pleased with) instigation.”

i.e he is striving for instigation, working on instigation, struggling on instigation, he doesn’t get tired with instigating, even between two brothers, and a father and his son, he places his throne on the sea and sends his army for instigating between the people…. so he is not pleased with what they did until one who comes and says I did not leave so and so until he separated from his wife, then he says: Yes you (are the one) and points to him. And whoever strives in that is considered from the army of Shaytān in this, whether he instigates between two brothers, or between a woman and her husband, or between two neighbors from the Muslims, all of that is from the doings of the Shaytān, and indeed the Prophet ﷺ said:

من خبّب امرأة على زوجها أو مملوكا على سيّده فليس منّا

“Whoever turns a woman on her husband or a slave on his master then he is not from us.”

So this affair is noticeable to the one with intellect; that it is not possible for the enemies of the Da’wah of Salafiyyah to remain silent from this angle. But their efforts – by the praise of Allāh – end in failure and they return every time as losers.”

“وَرَدَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِغَيْظِهِمْ لَمْ يَنَالُوا خَيْرًا وَكَفَى اللَّهُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الْقِتَالَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ قَوِيًّا عَزِيزًا”

“And Allah drove back those who disbelieved in their rage, they gained no advantage (booty, etc.). Allah sufficed for the believers in the fighting (by sending against the disbelievers a severe wind and troops of angels). And Allah is Ever AllStrong, AllMighty.”
[Al-Ahzab, 25]
