Raising the hands in the prayer

بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم

Answered by Shaykh Abu Hamza Hassan bin Muhammed Ba Shu’ayb – may Allah preserve him –

??Question:

Should the hands be raised at the prostration and at getting up from the prostration?

??Answer:

Raising the hands at every point of lowering and rising in prayer; the narration regarding this is Ma’lūl (defective: weak).

What’s preserved is only the raising (of the hands)at:
➖ The entrance of the prayer
➖ Before going into the rukū’ (bowing)
➖ At the standing up from the rukū’
➖ At the standing after the first Tashahhud.
