Is it true or is there evidence, which authentic and sound, that proves that when a woman is giving birth that her du’ah, her supplications are accepted?
He (Our beloved Shaykh Abu Abdillah Muhammad Ibn Hizam May Allaah preserve him) said, “I do not know of any proof in which is sound or clear that a woman who’s in this state, that her supplication is answered. However, she is in a state in which she is in dire need. And Allaah subhaanahu wa ta ‘ala tells us
“Is He (not best) Who responds to the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil and makes you inheritors of the earth, generations after generations? Is there any deity with Allah?” [Surat un-Naml 27:62]
And so she is in a dire state of need, at that state. So when she calls on Allaah subhaanahu wa ta ‘ala, in that state of dire need, to ask Allaah subhaanahu wa ta ‘aka to have mercy upon her, to forgive her and to make it easy for her, then there’s a good chance that Allaah subhaanahu wa ta ‘ala answers her call. Because she is first from those mentioned in the category that was mentioned in the ayah.
