O Virtuous Shaykh of ours, we have a Salafi website where we translate the fataawa of the firm scholars.
A question has been forwarded to us which we want you to reply to, especially due to what we know of your strength in knowledge and in methodology and especially in regards to refutations.
May Allah preserve you.
If you could reply to it so we could translate the answer and put it on our website, may Allah grant us and you success to every good.
The question is:
Shaykh Yahya bin ‘Ali Al-Hajoori, may Allah preserve him, we have heard that the scholars have warned from him and that he deviated from that which is correct, and that it’s not permissible to spread anything from his books and audios.
But we see in your salafi website many of his articles being translated.
We want some clarifications from you, perhaps going into detail:
Why do you put his articles on your website while the scholars have warned from him?
Or is it that those scholars that warned from him were incorrect?
We want from you to explain and to clarify, may Allah reward you all with good.
We have written numerous writings in clarification of this and it has been spread.
It’s conclusion being:
That shaykh Yahya is treading upon the methodology of Salaf, and those that declared him to be an innovator did so without evidence.
Whatever has been mentioned of observations against him, has been clarified by the Shaykh and his students, and that the majority of what is mentioned are lies and fabrications, and affairs which the Shaykh retracted.
As for those that declared the Shaykh an innovator; they were from those that testified knowledge and virtue and Sunnah for the Shaykh.
And we do not know any Salafi scholar who declared him an innovator.
As for Rabee’ Al-Madkhali and ‘Ubaid Al-Jābiri; then they have with them calamities and oppositions to the Salafi ‘Aqīdah.
Which makes them unqualified to be from amongst the people of knowledge.
To come across some of them look in “Al-Hujajl Kāshifa” in refutation of Al-Jābiri and “Al-Hujaj As-Salafiyyah” in refutation of Al-Madkhali.
And whatever they mentioned of criticisms on the Shaykh; then it has been refuted.
And the dismantling of their evidences has taken place in numerous articles and audios which have been spread.
From these affairs is what Al-Madkhali has recently printed and distributed under the title:
Whereby Shaykh Yahya in “Al-Ijābah” manifested with evidences what points to the weakness of Al-Madkhali’s knowledge and credibility, and that it’s a must for him to repent.
At a time when Al-Madkhali wanted Shaykh Yahya’s downfall with this book, but his plotting backfired and returned back to him, and it exposed him to the people.
Allah, the Most High, said:
(لَّيْسَ بِأَمَانِيِّكُمْ وَلَآ أَمَانِىِّ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ۗ مَن يَعْمَلْ سُوٓءًا يُجْزَ بِهِۦ وَلَا يَجِدْ لَهُۥ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيًّا وَلَا نَصِيرًا)
“It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof, and he will not find any protector or helper besides Allah.”
And Allah, the Most High, said:
(وَيَمْكُرُونَ وَيَمْكُرُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ خَيْرُ ٱلْمَٰكِرِين)
“they were plotting and Allah too was planning, and Allah is the Best of the planners.”
And Allah, the Most High, said:
(كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْحَقَّ وَٱلْبَٰطِلَ ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلزَّبَدُ فَيَذْهَبُ جُفَآءً ۖ وَأَمَّا مَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ فَيَمْكُثُ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ)
“thus does Allah (by parables) show forth truth and falsehood. Then, as for the foam it passes away as scum upon the banks, while that which is for the good of mankind remains in the earth. Thus Allah sets forth parables.”
As for the rest of those that speak ill of the Shaykh then they are considered blindfollowers of these two trialed individuals.
And the blindfollower is not a scholar by consensus.
Ibn Abdul-Bar, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
“The people have unanimously agreed upon that the blindfollower is not considered to be from the people of knowledge, and that knowledge is knowing the truth through its proofs.”

And success is granted by Allah.
