Question:
There are those who take food from charity organizations and then sell it.
Answer:
I say, may Allah bless you, whoever was to be besieged or in a state of being forced, then let him take due to being forced.
Those that are in a state of abundance, Allah has enrichened them, they should suffice with it away from these organizations, because you rebuke their mistakes, or not?
How do you rebuke their mistakes, reject their call, rebuke and rebuke and the sorts, rebuke their deviation and their partiality, you rebuke the likes of this then you take from them.
The meaning of this is similar to the one who said:
O people, I didn’t say O us.
Do you know the story of “O us”?
There was one who gave a sermon and encouraged the people to give charity by way of the meat of the sacrificial slaughtering’s of ‘Eid, he had meat of the sorts with him, his son heard him give this admonishment and left and took the meat and gave it in charity, when he went to his house he asked where is the meat?
So they said: we have given it out as charity, you encouraged us to give out charity.
Then he said: O my son I said “O people” I didn’t say ” O us”.
The Most High said:
(أَتَأۡمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلۡبِرِّ وَتَنسَوۡنَ أَنفُسَكُمۡ وَأَنتُمۡ تَتۡلُونَ ٱلۡكِتَـٰبَۚ أَفَلَا تَعۡقِلُونَ)
“Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense?” [Al-Baqara:44]
As-Safārīnī, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:
ومن نهى عما له قد ارتكب
Whoever commits that which he prohibits
فقد أتى مما به يقضي العجب
Has come with that which necessitates being shocked by
فلو بدا بنفسه فذادها
If only he started with his own soul and saved it
عن غيها لكان قد أفادها
From its own ignorance’s then he would of benefited it.
How are you telling the people, these organizations have this in it, and that in it, and that it in, this comes along with it, and that comes along with it, then when they knock on your door and give you these products you say:
May Allah reward you with good put it inside.
