The difference between Hasad (envy) and Ghibta (jealousy)

Question:

What’s the difference between Hasad (envy) and Ghibtah (jealousy)?

Answer:

Hasad is wishing the removal of a blessing of the one being envied and for the blessing to be transferred to the envier.

And Ghibtah is to wish the same as the person with the blessings without wishing for it to be removed from them.
