Do the Children of the Muslims and the Mushrikoon that were abused and died from their abuse go to Paradise?

Question:

The children of the Muslims that were abused then died as a result of that abuse, do they enter the Paradise? And likewise, the children of the disbelievers, do they enter the Paradise?

Answer:

The children of the Muslim they follow their origins, (their parents) from the people of Islam. As for the children of the disbelievers, from the people of knowledge are those that remain silent and do not take a position as it relates to whether they will enter the Paradise or not. Based on the hadith of Ibn `Abbas in Sahih al-Bukhari that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) was asked about the children of (Mushrikeen) pagans. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied, “Since Allah created them, He knows what sort of deeds they would have done.” [Hadith No. 1383]

And there are some (from the scholars) that say they will follow their parents, meaning to the Hellfire.

And there are some that say they will enter the Paradise, based on the hadith of Samarah ibn Jundub in Sahih al-Bukhari where the Prophet (ﷺ) saw in a dream and he was asked about the children of the Mushrikeen and he said “They are in the Paradise”.[Hadith No. 7047]

And then there are some scholars that say they (the children of the Mushrikeen) will be questioned and tested. If they obey and respond correctly they will enter the Paradise, if they fail to answer correctly and disobey they will enter the Hellfire, based on the hadith of Al-Aswad ibn Sari’ from the Musnad of Imaam Ahmad. And this last position is very strong.

As for the statement of the Prophet, “Allah created them, He knows what sort of deeds they would have done”, this was in the early stages of Islam then after that he (ﷺ) was informed (about their outcome).

And Allah knows best.
