Question:
How many rakʿah of at-taraweeh can one do at the back of the Imaam during Ramadan, and which is better for the one who does not know Arabic nor how to recite the Qur’aan or Reading the Tafseer in its language together with pondering?
Answer:
Salaah at-Taraaweeh is more preferred.
We advice with salaatu at-taraaweeh, for indeed Umar رضي الله تعالى عنه gathered the sahaabah’s upon that.
And he was happy with that congregation and salaatu at-taraaweeh became a Sunnah for the Muslims.
As for the raafidah [the extremist shee’ah], they do not observe the salaah at-taraaweeh, their Masaajid are locked down, they do not observe it, because they see it as a sunnah of ‘Umar and they hate ‘Umar.
Thus we advise with salaah at-taraaweeh together with the Muslims and every thing in its time is the most preferred.
