“And the servants vary with regards to their wilaayah (friendship and Guardianship) with Allaah. Therefore every Muslim has a share of guardianship with Allaah. And they differ in their guardianship in accordance with the differences in their Eman and taqwa (piety).”
“Everytime the servant’s Eemaan and taqwa increase, his guardianship with Allaah, his closeness to Him, and Allaah’s love for him increase as well. And Everytime his Eemaan and taqwa decrease, then his closeness to Allaah, Allaah’s protection of him, and Allaah’s love for him decrease in proportion to the decrease of his Eemaan. Therefore there’s an increase depending on an increase. And there’s decrease depending on a decrease. And if a servant desires a complete friendship and protection from Allaah, and a complete nearness to Allaah, and that Allaah’s love of him be complete, then he must increase in his Eemaan and taqwa with righteous speech and actions. Because Eemaan increases with acts of obedience and decrease with acts of disobedience.”
