Question:
Some people have applications which have pictures on the list, for example the Qurān application has a picture of Sudais or the application of As-Sheikh Ibn Uthaimeen has a picture of him on it and other than that from the applications that include pictures of scholars or reciters. Some of the brother’s from Ahlul as-Sunnah are lenient in regards to this, what is your advise regarding this matter?
Answer:
This is from leniency and from the acceptance of pictures, so therefore these type of applications and websites that refer people to pictures then refrain from these. If they are free from pictures then Alhamdulillah and if not then no. For verily the one that always looks at pictures then you don’t find them disapproving after that because it has become normal to them, so this should be left off.
