Does Islam increase and decrease like Eman

Question:

Does Islām increase and decrease like Ēmān?

Answer:

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The most complete Muslim in his Islām is…,” and in a wording, “Mu’min in his Ēmān is…”

“And the best Muslim is…”

And the Prophet ﷺ said concerning the one who accepted Islam upon its reality so his (good) actions before and after Islam are recorded, i.e. his Islam is complete.

So yes, it is said Eman increases and decreases as well as Islam. Not upon the meaning that he has doubt in his Islam, but upon what the contents of the evidence states. That from them are those whose Islam is complete and from them are those whose Islam is weak.

“If he accepts Islam, and perfects his Islam,” and in a wording, “…excels in his Islam.”

And the Prophet ﷺ said:

مِنْ حُسْنِ إِسْلَامِ اَلْمَرْءِ, تَرْكُهُ مَا لَا يَعْنِيهِ

“From the goodness of a persons Islam is leaving that which doesn’t concern him.”

It has come Marfū’ (what’s attributed to the Prophet ﷺ of statement or action or description or silent approval) and Mursal (i.e what’s been attributed to the Prophet ﷺ by a Tābi’ī of statement or action or description, regardless if this Tābi’ī was big or small) from Zain ul-‘Ābidīn.
