The ruling on giving the greetings of Ramadhān

Question:

He is asking about the greeting of Ramadhān?

Answer:

There is no problem in the greeting of the month of Ramadhān. For verily the Prophet gave glad tidings of it. Even though the Hadith has a defect in it but giving glad-tidings of good and happy occasions and Ēids or greetings of that from what is of righteous actions.

And with Hajj, TaqabbalAllāh minnā wa minkum (May Allāh accept it from us and you) and the likes of this.

So it has an origin as is in the book of ‘Tahāni’ (greetings) by Suyūtī.”
