Question:
وَٱلْفِتْنَةُ أَشَدُّ مِنَ ٱلْقَتْلِۚ
The trial is worse than death
[Al-Baqarah:191]
What is intended by ‘the trial’ here?
Answer:
From what is apparent; Shirk (polytheism) and Kufr (disbelief) are worse than death.
