The one who is not qualified for Jarh wa Ta’dīl corrupts and harms

Benefit:

“If the one who isn’t from it’s people or not proficient in it were to participate in it he would corrupt, and perhaps he would praise a person of desires or an ignoramus for you, or praise one who is not deserving of praise, or perhaps the praise harms him; he exaggerates and extends a lot until his speech concerning him becomes belittlement.

For verily exaggeration and overpraising and extremism brings about harms upon the speaker and the one being spoken about.

There occurs corruption from this exaggeration from him. He doesn’t place people or things in their proper places. Or he disparages one who is not worthy of disparagement from the people of guidance from the people of uprightness.

Either he disparages with no insight, or he has desires within himself so he disparages to distance the people from the good which is with him out of envy, out of transgression, out of innovation with the disparager.”
