What is correct is that it’s in four places:
1 – While pronouncing th Takbeeratl-Ihraam (Opening Takbeer) (by consensus)
2 – While bowing for Rukoo’
3 – While standing from Rukoo’
4 – While standing from the middle Tashahhud
And these last three the majority of scholars are upon it and what has come other than these has been censured.
- And a consensus has been relayed from Abi Haamid Al-Ghazaali upon the places of the three (Takbeers) after the Takbeeratl-Ihraam, so it becomes four, and Al-Haafidh (Ibn Hajr) disagreed with him that (other than these) has come from some of them, our Shaykh may Allaah preserve him said: “Except that it’s not authentically established and the basis is that nothing is authentically established except these four places.”
