Do not be a slave of Dunya

Benefit:

The one who has blindness from the religion, blindness from Istiqaamah, blindness from fiqh in it, blindness from guidance, all capabilities are utilized for the Dunyaa, he becomes a slave to the Dunyaa, ruined and unfortunate, on the authority of Abi Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ, he said:

“May he perish, the slave of the Dinaar, and the slave of the Dirham, the slave of the Qatifa (thick soft cloth), and the slave of the Khamisa (a garment), if he is given, he is pleased, and if he’s not given, he’s dissatisfied and if he is pierced with a thorn, let him not find anyone to take it out for him.” [Al-Bukhaari, 2886]

The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ made du’aa against him, you’re a slave to Allaah, all your efforts, and your health, and your strength, and your time, and what Allaah facilitated for you, make it for the Next Life, as Allaah said:

“And this life of the world is only amusement and play! Verily, the home of the Hereafter, that is the life indeed (i.e. the eternal life that will never end), if they but knew.” [Al-‘Ankabut: 64]

Its the real life, so don’t busy yourself as if you weren’t created except for this short period of time, on the authority of Abi Hurairah, he said:

“The lifespan of my ummah is between sixty to seventy, and few are those who surpass that.” [Tirmidhi, 3550]
