Benefit:
Allah said:
(وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَٰهِۦمُ ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ)
“And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) and (his son) Isma’il (Ishmael) were raising the foundations of the House (the Ka’bah at Makkah), (saying), “Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily! You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.” [Al-Baqarah: 127]
☆ This is evidence that the first to build the Ka’bah was the Prophet of Allaah Ibraaheem with his son Ismaa’eel, and it’s not authentic that anyone built it before him, and the Hadith on the authority of Ā’ishah:
ولولا حداثة عهد قومك بالكفر لنقضت الكعبة ولجعلتها على أساس إبراهيم
“Had your people not newly entered into Islam, I would have demolished the Ka’ba and would have rebuilt it on the foundation (original structure) of Ibraaheem.”
And he didn’t mention anyone else who built it before him.
Valuable Benefit
☆ Four narrations on the building of the Ka’bah are not authentically established:
1) The building of the Angels.
2) The building of Ādam.
3) The building of the son of Ādam.
👆🏾These are before Ibraaheem.
4) And after Ibraaheem the building of the Amaaliqah (Tribe of Jurhum)
☆ And five narrations authentically established:
1) The building of the Prophet of Allaah Ibraaheem.
2) The building of Quraish.
3) The restructuring of Ibn Zubair upon what the Prophet described.
4) The the demolishing of Al-Hajjaaj via Ibn Marwaan and returning it back to how it was.
5) The building of the Sultaan of Muraad after a flood occured and destroyed the Ka’bah, and that was in the year 1039H til 1040H.
As for refurbishing then it was many a time.
