Question:
He died whilst abandoning the prayer, is fasting repaid upon his behalf?
Answer:
The Siyām is not repaid for him. The Prophet ﷺ said:
(العهد الذي بيننا وبينهم الصلاة فمن تركها فقد كفر)
“The covenant that’s between us and them is the prayer, so whomsoever abandons it has disbelieved”
How can the Siyām be repaid on his behalf for he whom fasting isn’t valid for if he abandons the prayer whilst being able to perform it?
