The claim of the presence of Homosexuality in Jannah

Question:

What’s the ruling upon those that says that there is homosexuality in Jannah, and use as a proof the statement of the Most High:

(يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ۝ بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ)

“They will be served by immortal boys, with cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine”
[Al-Wāqi’a:17-18]

And they also use as an evidence that homosexuality is like alcohol, impermissible in his world permissible in Jannah?

Answer:

This speech –and refuge is sought with Allah– is from the types of statements of the heretics and the disbelievers.

It’s been narrated from some of the Mu’tazilah, and their statement has been relayed by Al-Jawzi in some of his books.

Homosexuality is from the most virulent of sins, and Allah has described those that perpetrated it from the people of Lūt to be criminals and other than it of grave descriptions.

And Allah set lose upon them, the most severest of punishments, so how can what they were punished for, be a reward for the people of paradise?!

And Allah, the Most High, has prepared wives and Hūrul ‘Ayn for the people of Jannah, of that which the souls would be pleased with, and how would they after this be pleased with this filth?!

As for the young boys mentioned in the statement of the Most High:

(يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ۝ بِأَكْوَابٍ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍ)

“They will be served by immortal boys, with cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine”
[Al-Wāqi’a:17-18]

Then they are young boys from the young boys of paradise, brought about by Allah to serve the people of Jannah, and they are not boys from this world, as clarified by Shaykh-Ul-Islām, may Allah have mercy upon him.

And Ibn Kathīr, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Meaning: the people of Jannah will be served by boys from the boys of Paradise.”
[End of speech]

As for the doubt of the heretics and their ilk, surrounding khamr (alcohol); then they do not have anything to cling to.

For Khamr in this Dunya is an abomination, from the handiwork of the Shaytān, so what is described with these characteristics will not be a reward for the people of Paradise.

Allah, the Most High, said:

(يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا ٱلْخَمْرُ وَٱلْمَيْسِرُ وَٱلْأَنصَابُ وَٱلْأَزْلَٰمُ رِجْسٌ مِّنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنِ فَٱجْتَنِبُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ)

“O you who believe! Intoxicants (all kinds of alcoholic drinks), gambling, Al-Ansāb, and Al-Azlam (arrows for seeking luck or decision) are an abomination of Shaytān’s (Satan) handiwork. So avoid (strictly all) that (abomination) in order that you may be successful.”
[Al-Māida:90]

And the Khamr in Jannah is not the same as the Khamr which is in this world, neither in its intoxicating & mind alterating affects nor other than this of its blameworthy descriptions and harms, Jannah and it’s inhabitants are above this.

For this reason Allah, the Most High, said regarding the Khamr of the inhabitants of Jannah:

(يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ ۝ بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ ۝ لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ)

“Round them will be passed a cup of pure wine; White, delicious to the drinkers, Neither will they have Ghawl (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom.”
[As-Sāffāt:45-47]

Ibn Jarīr At-Tabari, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

Al-Ghawl, in the Arabic language means: what ever affects a person and over takes him, so whoever was to experience a displeasing affair they would use it as proverb.
So the departure of the intellect from the drinker of the intoxicating drink, and those complaining from stomach ache due to it, or headaches, and those that displeasing affairs occur to them through it, all of this, the word “Ghawl” is applicable to.

And if it that was to be the case, and Allah, the Most High, mention of it negating the presence of any Ghawl in the Khamr of Jannah, then it’s more so appropriate to be described in the manner that Allah, the Most High, did:

(لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌ)

“Neither will they have Ghawl (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that.”

So this negation of Ghawl would also negate everything that the meaning of Ghawl entails, so it’s said: there is no harm in it nor anything displeasing will occur to its drinker neither in his body nor mind, or anything else.”
[End of speech]

And the connection between the Khamr of the Dunya and the Khamr of the paradise is only in the name not in its essence.

It’s been authentically established on the authority of Ibn ‘Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that he said:

“There is nothing in Jannah of the affairs in the Dunya except for names.”

As-San’āni mentioned in “At-Tanwīr”:

“There is nothing in Jannah of the affairs of the pleasantries of the Dunya except for the names; for the essence will not be the same, and the taste will not be the same.
[End of speech]

And paradise will only contain what will please the eyes of a person and what their souls desire from the good things.

Allah, the Most High, said:

( وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ ٱلْأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ ٱلْأَعْيُنُ)

“(there will be) therein all that the one’s inner-selves could desire, all that the eyes could delight in”
[Az-Zukhruf:71]

I.e: of bliss and good things.

And the ‘Allāmah Ash-Shingīti, may Allah have mercy upon him, elaborated extensively in clarification of this at this verse, using verses from the book of Allah as evidence, visiting this is beneficial.

And the likes of these abominations –homosexuality– is the opposite of this:
➖Legislatively
➖Intellectually
➖and by the Fitrah (natural predisposition).

Allah, the Most High, said:

(فَلَا تَعْلَمُ نَفْسٌ مَّآ أُخْفِىَ لَهُم مِّن قُرَّةِ أَعْيُنٍ جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُون)

“No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.”
[As-Sajda:17]

And will those that do good and strive for the sake of seeing Allah, the Most High, do this for the ever lasting bliss in Jannah or for the likes of this abomination, and refuge is sought with Allah.

And in the hadīth Qudsi:

(أعددت لعبادي ما لا عين رأت ولا أذن سمعت ولا خطر على قلب بشر)

“I have prepared for My Slaves, what neither eyes have seen, nor ears have heard, nor what a human heart has ever perceived.”

And homosexuality is a despicable abomination, it  without a doubt, doesn’t enter into this.

And the reply to the likes of this heresy would be lengthy, what has been mentioned while in a summarised fashion serves sufficient as to silence them.

Aid and success is granted by Allah.
