Who are the Jabariyyah?

Question:

Who are the Jabariyyah?

Answer:

A deviated sect, they went to extremes in the affair of Qadr until they believed a person doesn’t have free will, and that he’s like a feather in the wind, if he disobeys Allaah he’s not sinful and if he obeys him he’s not rewarded.

So the most disbelieving person and most righteous person with them are the same, because this one is forced to do kufr and shirk and worshipping idols, and this one is forced to do acts of obedience, so both of them are the same and the Jannah and Naar are pointless, all of them are forced, this one is not rewarded and this one is not punished.

And the Shaytaan and the Messengers are the same, because that one Shaytaan is forced to disobey Allaah and that one is forced to obey him, and all those who the Prophets and Messenger fought is for no due right, because the Mushrikeen did that out of being forced, upon the statement of the Jabariyyah, so this statement nullifies the religion of Allaah.

So the statement of the Jabariyyah those that believe that a person is forced to do actions of good or evil and he doesn’t have free will, is nullifying the religion of Allaah.

No Salaah, no Siyaam, no Zakaah, no Hajj, all of the symbols, he’s not rewarded for anything and he’s not punished for anything, a cow could have more meaning in life than him,

“And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose!” [Sad: 27]

وَمَا خَلَقْنَا ٱلسَّمَآءَ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا لَٰعِبِينَ

“We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them for a (mere) play.” [Al-Anbiya: 16]

Upon the statement of the Jabariyyah all of this is without purpose,

(أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى)

“Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him]?” [Al-Qiyamah: 36]

i.e. not commanded nor prohibited.

Upon the statement of the Jabariyyah all of this is Suda. No command, no prohibition, no reward, no punishment.

The basis of existence of the human is of no benefit which goes back to him, not a righteous man or sinner.

The most that’s in it is that he punishes who he punishes wrongfully and enters into Jannah who he enters without due right, and they ascribe oppression to Allaah, because all of them are forced.

The conclusion is the statement of the Jabariyyah went to extreme, the Qadariyyah from them are those who negated evil from Allaah and said Allaah didn’t decree evil, he decreed good.

This statement is misguidance, because they ascribed to Allaah that a person creates his own action, they made him a creater,

(وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ)

“While Allah has created you and what you make!” [As-Saffat: 96]

These ones are the Majoos of this ummah, the Qadariyyah are the Majoos of this ummah, the Majoos affirmed two gods, one that creates darkness and one that creates light, and others said Allaah doesn’t know the affairs except after they occur.

These are the old Jabariyya during the time of Ibn Umar those who came from Basrah, complaining about this type, and others said everything is with the Qadr of Allaah but mankind has no free will, nor does he have any disposing of affairs being rewarded for, he kills hundreds of people and he’s not sinful, he’s forced, he does all Fawaahish, he’s not sinful, he’s forced, and this is accustoming to kufr and disobedience to the Lord of the worlds and His despising.
