Seeking refuge in other than Allaah

Benefit:

Chapter: Seeking refuge in other than Allaah

And His statement:

“And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.” [Al-Jinn: 6]

And From Khawlah bint Hakeem, she said: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ saying:

“Whoever descends in a place and says: “I seek refuge in the Perfect Words of Allaah from the evil of (what comes from) His creation, nothing will harm him until he leaves from that place.” [Reported by Muslim]

In it are Masaa’il (topics):

The First: Tafseer of the verse of Al-Jinn.

The Second: It being from Shirk.

The Third: Seeking proof for that with the Hadeeth, because the scholars seek proof in it that the Words of Allaah are uncreated. They said: Because seeking refuge in the creation is Shirk.

The Fourth: The virtue of Du’aa with summarizing it.

The Fifth: That it being that something with a worldly benefit occurs, from withholding harm or bringing about benefit, doesn’t mean that it’s not from Shirk.
