What is the ruling on mixing with the people of innovation in charity organisations?
Answer:
Do not mix with them o my brother, rather stay away from them. How many times did Our shaykh Al-Wadiee (may Allah have mercy on him) warn against these charity organisations?! His voice became hoarse and he was still warning against them because they change (the person). How many times have we heard from people that say “we used to have preachers and teachers then they started to work with these organisations so they ended up with them, to the point now we’ve had to start searching for preachers and imam’s”.
They became busy with gathering money and searching for the poor and orphans. This is not up to you oh student of knowledge, this is not up to you o caller to Allah, leave this for the general folks if they want to pursue that, however without (the use of) these organisations, these organisations have many transgressions.
Therefore because of this it is obligatory to leave off these organisations and not to mix with them. Like one of the people who became preoccupied with these organisations used to say “these organisations are in the apparent charitable however they inwardly represent foreign concepts”. So be wary of them, how many have these organisations corrupted from people who used to be upon guidance, they used to be writers, researchers, teachers upon the sunnah and uprightness then ended up going to waste and went weak because of these organisations.
Our shaikh Al-Wadiee (may Allah have mercy on him) used to call it “Coated Partisanship”.
We ask Allah for safety and good health from the apparent and unapparent trials and tribulations.
