Benefit Concerning Inward and outward Adalah (Trustworthiness)

Benefit:

إذا رأيتم الرجل يعتاد المساجد فاشهدوا له بالإيمان

“If you see a man regularly going to the Masjid, bare witness that he has Eman.”

Then the verse was mentioned concerning it.

The Hadith is weak but it goes underneath this verse, so the Hadith has a basis.

And this is the reality with the people on the outward Adālah (Trustworthiness), that whoever they see upon the outward Adālah, from those that pray, from those that give Zakāh, from those who perform Hajj, from those that fast, this one with them is trustworthy on the apparent.

There remains what is related to the inner Adālah which is known by the precision of his Hadiths and statements, and his memory, and what is of this nature. This is with the Muhaddithīn (scholars of Hadith), they don’t accept except if it is known from him Dhabt (Good memory) with Adālah, and nothing infringes upon the outward Adālah which is known amongst the people except with something clear, otherwise the basis is remaining upon the outward Adālah affirmed by the people in the likes if these affairs.

And the rites of Islam and the establishment thereof, and what is of that nature, until it is known from him what opposes that, then it transfers to having bad thoughts, otherwise;

فمَن أظْهَرَ لَنَا خَيْرًا، أمِنَّاهُ، وقَرَّبْنَاهُ،

“Whoever outwardly displays good to us we trust him and draw him near, and in a wording we shall grant him peace and security and accept him, and whoever shows other than that we don’t trust and we don’t draw him near.”

So whoever establishes the rites of Islam along with the well-known outward affairs, this is outward Adālah from the angle of accepting his testimony, and his Athān for the Muslims, and these affairs.
