Our Shaykh Yahyaa may Allaah preserve him and take care of him said: “And from the correct Manhaj is to bring yourself to account with precision, we ask Allaah to grant us success upon actions, are they for Allaah or for other than Him, who do you intend oh playful one, this playful soul, who do you intend, do you intend Allaah or do you intend the people?
What will the people do for you?
Correct the intention; Correcting the intention in any action one does, correct it, look, what is the intent by this action?
Statement or action.
So if your intention is correct, a lot of good will be achieved for you, and you’ll be rewarded great rewards upon small things.
And the Salaf used to treat the intention, until the Imaam (Sufyaan) said: “I didn’t try to treat anything like I did with the intention.”
The intent is what do you intend with it?
From statement or action or giving or withholding, all of that, all of this Manhaj are from the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ.
The the student traverses this correct Manhaj in his life and his taking in and his acts of worship and his religion, perhaps Allaah will provide him with success in this life and protect him from the Shaytaan and the trials of Shaytaan. All of us are in dire need of that, we ask Allaah for success,
Allaah said:
رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغْ قُلُوبَنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَيْتَنَا وَهَبْ لَنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةًۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلْوَهَّابُ
“[Who say], “Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower.” [Aal-Imraan: 8]
