Eemaan doesn’t occur for anyone until his desires coincides with what the Prophet ﷺ came with

Benefit:

Chapter: His statement:

“Have you not seen those (hypocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you, and that which was sent down before you, and they wish to go for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taaghoot (false judges) while they have been ordered to reject them. But Shaytaan (Satan) wishes to lead them far astray.” [An-Nisaa’: 60]

And His statement:

“And when it is said to them: “Make not mischief on the earth,” they say: “We are only peace-makers.” [Al-Baqarah :11]

And His statement:

“And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order, and invoke Him with fear and hope. Surely, Allah’s Mercy is (ever) near unto the good-doers.” [Al-A’raaf: 56]

And His statement:

“Do they then seek the judgement of (the days of) Ignorance? [3] And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith.” [Al-Maa’idah: 50]

From Abdillaah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘ Aas may Allaah be pleased with them both: He said: The Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said: “None of you truly believes until his desires coincides with what I came with.” [Hadith Hasan Saheeh we narrated in the book of Al-Hujjah with an authentic chain]

And Ash-Sha’bi said: “There was a dispute between a man from the Munaafiqeen and a man from the Jews, so the Jew said:” Let us make Muhammad the judge – because he knew that he doesn’t accept bribery – and the Munaafiq said: “Let us make the Jews the judges – because he knew they accept bribery – so they both agreed to go to a soothsayer in the tribe of Juhainah and make him judge, so the verse was revealed:

“Have you not seen those (hypocrites) who claim..” [An-Nisaa’: 60]

And it’s said: it was revealed concerning two men who disputed, so one of them said: “We take the affair to the Prophet ﷺ” , and the other said: “To Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf.” Then they took the affair to ‘Umar, so one of them mentioned the story to him. So he said to the one who wasn’t pleased with the Prophet ﷺ, “Is it like that?” He said: “Yes.” So he struck him with the sword and killed him.”

In it are (Masaa’il) topics:

The First: Tafseer of the verse of An-Nisaa’, and what is in it of aiding in understanding the meaning of Taaghoot.

The Third: Tafseer of the verse of Al-‘A’raaf: – (And do not do mischief on the earth, after it has been set in order)

The Fourth: Tafseer of the verse: (Do they then seek the judgement of (the days of) Ignorance?)

The Fifth: What Ash-Sha’bee said concerning the reason the first verses was revealed.

The Sixth: Tafseer of true Eemaan and false.

The Seventh: The story of ‘Umar with the Munaafiq.

The Eighth: It being that true Eemaan doesn’t occur for anyone until his desires coincides with what the Prophet ﷺ came with.
